It seems too good to be true, right?
Lottie is a free service that helps families and retirees find the UK's best care home, home care and retirement living options (to rent or buy).
Every community and provider on Lottie's online marketplace has been hand-picked and vetted against Lottie's internal scoring system, which considers several criteria, such as care quality, facilities and customer reviews. You can browse and start your search with Lottie's full list of verified partners. Or, you can visit our useful care and retirement guides, written by Lottie's later living experts and our specialist network of partners.
Beyond a comprehensive online marketplace, Lottie offers a free expert care support service. Lottie’s team of care experts offer further guidance and information, on topics such as funding care, to help individuals navigate the process of finding the best care solution to match their search criteria. If you would like to speak to one of the team, get in touch with Lottie's Care Experts and they’ll get back to you to arrange a consultation at a time that suits you. The care support service is available 9am-6pm Monday - Friday.

If a provider is not shown on Lottie, it typically means either they do not have availability, or they have not met the standard of care we're looking to promote to care seekers, or they were unwilling to provide transparency on fees (which we believe is a key consideration for every family searching for care and is a requirement to appear on Lottie’s marketplace). All prospective care partners undergo the same vetting process, which involves care quality checks and an internal grading system. It’s really important to us that no additional cost sits with families and retirees; care is already expensive enough! Lottie’s commercial model is in partnership with providers meaning Lottie charges a small advertising fee (like Tripadvisor or Skyscanner) when we connect a vetted care seeker with their services. We are also able to keep Lottie's service free to families through the earnings we make via our Found and Seniorcare products.
The company’s founders, brothers Will and Chris Donnelly, knew they wanted to give the company a human name, to emulate the compassionate people behind the mission and personal nature of the Care Expert’s service helping families with the care search process. Charlotte is a family name, with many Charlottes across generations of the Donnelly family, they quickly landed on ‘Lottie’.
A care home is a residential environment for someone to live in 24/7 on either a temporary (respite) or permanent basis.
Home care allows someone to be supported within the comfort of their own home, by either a live-in or visiting carer.
Retirement living offers properties to buy or rent to individuals usually 55 years old and over, with enhanced accessibility, a community of tenants to socialise with and sometimes even benefit from on-site support.
