What is the purpose of Lottie Awards?

Every day, care providers across the UK go above and beyond. At Lottie, we want to celebrate care operators and all the unsung heroes working within their services - not just with praise, but with purpose. Using 10 carefully selected metrics, we have been able to highlight the many ways care operators are redefining excellence in care, something that is so often overlooked in the media.

How do I find out if I’m an award winner?

All 2025 winners are listed on the official Lottie Awards website. You can also check your individual Lottie care home listing and operator profile, where award badges will be displayed on all the winners pages.

I’m an award winner! What have I won?

First of all, congratulations on being one of the very first Lottie Award winners!

Here’s what 2025’s award winner get access to:

  • Award Badge (Lottie): To help care seekers distinguish between good and great care - a special Lottie Awards badge will appear on your Lottie listing. 

  • Award Badge (Operator Website): Winners are invited to display their Lottie Awards badge on their website and marketing materials. 

  • Award Banner: To celebrate the achievement with their team - all award winners were invited to request a Lottie Awards pink banner to be sent to their care home. 

  • Award Certificate: Showcase your framed certificate in your care home’s reception or lobby area to let families know about your outstanding achievement.

  • Marketing Campaigns: To help spread the word about our outstanding achievement, all 2025 award winners will be featured in our upcoming marketing campaigns for Lottie Awards (including newsletter inclusion and on social media).

I’m an award winner! How do I promote the news?

The hard work is done! Now it’s time to proudly tell the world about your care home’s success and to celebrate your team’s incredible achievement. Here are some great ways to promote your Lottie Award win: 

  • Social Media: Announce your award win across your social media channels using the official Lottie Awards graphics which can be requested via Lottie’s partner team at: partners@lottie.org. But don’t forget to add the hashtag #LottieAwards2025 to help spread the word.

  • Marketing Materials & Website: Let prospective families know about your award winning care home by proudly displaying your Lottie Awards badge on your marketing materials and website homepage. Need help adding your badge to your marketing material and/or website? Lottie’s team is on hand to support you with any technical requirements.

  • Framed Certificate & Lottie Awards Booklet: Welcome visitors by showcasing your framed Lottie Awards certificate and a copy of the official Lottie Awards booklet in your care home’s reception or lobby area. 

  • Press Coverage: Lottie’s team will be actively promoting award winners in local media and we'll keep you informed of any coverage secured. We also offer a press release template you’re welcome to customise and share.

How did Lottie choose its winning care homes and providers?

To ensure a fair and data-driven selection process, Lottie uses a comprehensive evaluation framework based on over 10 key performance indicators. These span operational, reputational, and technological metrics - from enquiry handling and regulator ratings to employer reviews and tech adoption. All KPIs are grouped into four core categories: Quality of Care, Digital Presence, Operational Efficiency, and Workplace Culture. It’s our way of recognising excellence with both insight and heart.

Please note there is no ranking within the Top 100 Care Homes or Top 10 Providers.

Can I be included in Lottie Awards if I do not partner with Lottie?

To be eligible for the Lottie Awards, you must be a care home provider partnered with Lottie. Our award selections are based in part on internal data, which is only available for our partners.

Was there a cut-off date for Lottie Awards in 2025?

Yes, the cut-off date for entry into the 2025 Lottie Awards was April 1st. Providers who joined Lottie after this date were not included in this year’s awards season, however, they will be eligible for the 2026 Lottie Awards, so stay tuned!

Why was I excluded from Lottie Awards

Care homes or providers may be excluded from the Lottie Awards if they do not meet the full eligibility criteria. Reasons for exclusion may include:

  • Not being partnered with Lottie before the awards cut-off date

  • Holding an "Inadequate" or equivalent rating from a regulatory body at the time of assessment

Can I pay to be included in Lottie Awards?

No. Lottie does not accept payment for inclusion in the Lottie Awards. Recognition is based solely on performance, impact, and merit, never on payment.

How do I get involved in next year’s Lottie Awards?

If you're a Lottie Partner, simply fill out the form below to sign up to the Lottie Awards newsletter to be first to find out about next year’s awards including how to enter and when entries will open for 2026.
