I was recently asked, as a Deputy Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield, to attend a function at the Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield. I had a fantastic opportunity to spend a bit of time with veronica, who was celebrating her 102 birthday! The staff at the Care Home was excellent; professional, with a kind and engaging attitude. It is clear that all residents of the Acacia Mews Care Home are well looked after!

I’m the owner of a local home care provider. I’ve worked with the staff at Acacia Mews for a while now and would definitely recommend it. My first impression of Acacia Mews was how inviting all the staff were and that never changes each time I visit. No matter who you meet, they will all give you a warm welcome and say hello as you pass through the home, and as you do so, you can see how engaging they are with the residents, being attentive to their needs in a caring and dignified manner. The management team are a pleasure to collaborate with, working to a unified goal of providing the best care and support for individuals as they go through later life.

I first visited Acacia Mews for a meeting with their Client Liaison Manager Julia Rodell in April 2025. This was discuss taking part in the Care Fayre she is organising in my role as an Independent Family Celebrant. On arriving at Acacia Mews, I found parking to be easy .I was welcomed by a very polite receptionist who contacted Julia . I was invited to sit in the most comfortable Reception area and offered a drink and a pastry if I would like whilst I waited. I was then taken on a tour of the facilities by the ever enthusiastic Julia. Every single member of staff we passed said hello with a genuine, welcoming smile. The facilities and layout at Acacia Mews is strikingly comfortable and tastefully decorated and furnished . The show suite is beautiful. The staff were notably attentive and caring of their charges at the home, there is a good energy throughout. I look forward to the Care Fayre in July and have since started a fortnightly seated exercise class with some of the residents after Julia visited the Parkinsons UK exercise class I have taken for several years now.

I undertook work at this care home today. Staff were very helpful, from the concierge through to the cleaners. All seemed very happy even though they were all very busy. It's always nice working in places you are made to feel welcome.

Having recently visited Acacia Mews I wanted to express my thoughts on this wonderful home. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, the home was beautiful from reception to the bedrooms. It was clean, warm and inviting. The residents had a smile on their faces and were engaged in activity’s throughout the day. The Food looked exceptional! A real credit to the Chef and the rest of the kitchen staff. Beautiful home, highly recommend.
