My Dad has been a resident of Peel Gardens for the past 18 months now. He has advanced dementia and at various stages throughout this time, his behaviour has been quite challenging. Before settling here, he had short stints in a couple of other homes but they were unable to manage his needs, despite them having specialist dementia units! This was a very difficult time for him, and me, but luckily the team at Peel Gardens stepped in and agreed he could go there and see how he settled. As it is a nursing home, all of the senior staff are highly trained and are all competent at dealing with the complexities of dementia, and are fully aware of how it can present differently from person to person. As a result my Dad has been able to keep his own autonomy, for as long as possible, and we’ve seen a big improvement with some of his more challenging behaviour. I feel that there are too many homes that brush off those with more complex needs, probably because it’s an incredibly tough job! So I can’t praise Peel Gardens enough for being there to help those most in need! If only there were more hones who would follow their lead! Also, the staff always keep me informed as to what’s going on with my Dad, and I’ve got to know them all well over the time he’s been there. They’re a good, friendly bunch and are all extremely hard workers. No one wants to see their loved ones get to the point where they have to leave their own homes to live in care, but it’s far from an ideal world and I’m just happy that I no longer have to worry about him being looked after, as I know he is there :).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the privilege of working closely with Sandra and the wonderful team at Peel Gardens Care Home, and I can't speak highly enough of the exceptional care they provide. As a residential nursing home, Peel Gardens exceeds expectations in every aspect. Sandra, the manager, exemplifies dedication and compassion in her role. Her leadership sets the tone for the entire facility, fostering an environment of warmth and support. She is not only highly professional but also genuinely cares about the well-being of every resident. The staff at Peel Gardens are attentive, kind, and always ready to go the extra mile. From personal care to recreational activities, they ensure that each resident feels valued and respected. It's evident that they view their work as more than just a job; it's a calling. The facilities at Peel Gardens are well-maintained and designed with the comfort and safety of residents in mind. Whether it's the cozy living spaces or the beautiful outdoor gardens, every corner reflects a commitment to creating a homely atmosphere. Families can rest assured knowing that their loved ones are in capable hands. I wholeheartedly recommend Peel Gardens Care Home to anyone seeking quality care in a nurturing environment.

We cannot praise the staff at Peel Gardens highly enough. Our mum was only with them a short time, but the care she was given was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, they were caring, loving, and treated her with dignity and love. They looked after our mum, like she was their mum. We could not have chosen a better place Thankyou Peel Gardens From The Eldridge family

Our mum transferred to Peel Gardens from Blackburn hospital for end of life care. Initially the distance was a bit of an issue, we were concerned about the travelling needed to visit. Very quickly it was apparent to us that we had absolutely made the right choice for mum. All staff there are fabulous, mum was treat with care and dignity, she was in the best hands possible. Mum was only there just over 2 weeks before she passed away. We can't thank the home enough for how they looked after mum, prior to this she felt surplus to requirements. Thank you all, so much.
