The Manor House Barnard Castle Care Home

This appears to be an unbelievable nursing home. I was visiting Gillian on behalf of her nephew. I questioned everything, even checked to see if the bar had real alcohol, and it did. It’s like a 5-star hotel, and Gillian, who has been there for 10 years, had nothing but a positive view of the facility and care. The staff appear to be genuinely interested in their residents and their happiness.

What a beautiful luxurious home, from my experience I find all the staff helpful, nothing is too much trouble, carers are absolutely fantastic, management go above and beyond to help cater for the needs of your love ones. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking.

I cared for a lady in her own home, when her health deteriorated she came to reside at the Manor House. She was so happy here. She enjoyed the delicious food. She enjoyed joining in with the daily activities. The carers treat her so well. Her personal hygiene was brilliant and she always looked so clean and smart. The hairdressers was great as she was always a lady that liked to have her hair done. When she was reaching the end of her life she was treat with dignity and was never on her own, which I no she would of appreciated.

My aunt has been living here for over two years now and the care she has received has transformed her life, it caters for both residential and dementia which gives me peace of mind knowing my aunt with dementia is well looked after. The home is absolutely beautifully decorated and is of 5 star service. The carers are absolutely amazing with my aunt and her room is spotless each day. She has put on weight with thanks to the catering team. I would definitely recommend this care home.

Beautiful care home and surroundings, absolutely fantastic care provided from care staff to team leaders to housekeeping, kitchen staff, maintenance and management. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
