What people say about The Grange

Highlighting top-rated reviews

My parents moved to The Grange recently. From the very first meeting with the assistant manager I had a good feeling about the place. I visited three times, once just on spec, before I made my decision and had the same impression each time. Since they moved in the staff could not have been better. They treat the residents with kindness and respect and are very supportive of myself as well, since this whole process of my parents not being able to look after themselves and having to move to care is quite overwhelming. One parent has settled quite well and is smiling and telling me they are happy, I couldn’t ask for more than that. My other parent is still adjusting and there have been a couple of incidents, both when I was visiting and when I wasn’t visiting, and the staff reacted so professionally and are being proactive to establish the source of the issues and get the appropriate help. From the manager, to the carers, the housekeepers, the maintenance team and the admin staff everyone is supportive and wants to do the best for the residents.

I’m happy to make a review. My husband has been in the Grange for a year, it was a very difficult decision to make. David has Dementia and I could no longer keep his safe at home. The staff are kind & caring. Burlington Care should be very proud of the standard of their staff. I visit my husband most days and take one of my dogs with me ,who seems to go down very well with lots of the people that live there, and it makes me happy to see them react with my dog Mabel. 5 stars .

My father Ken Wood who was ninety three when he passed away, spent the last six months of his life here. Even though he had dementia he was treat with dignity, respect and kindness. The managers and staff were brilliant with him. He was properly looked after in both his physical and mental needs. His room was always kept clean and tidy. It was warm and comfortable. Dad was able to move about freely. He enjoyed his food particularly as the meals at the Grange were very good. My only regret is that we didn't know about the Grange Care Home sooner. Dad was happy there. If you are looking for a Care Home that is properly managed by trained, professional staff, this is it.
