Barchester Healthcare West Abbey Care Home

I was made to feel very welcome as a new performer to the Home. The Deputy Manager personally introduced himself to me and thanked me for my performance, which made me feel very appreciated. I am planning to return again to sing for the residents and very much look forward to re-visiting West Abbey

Staff are always friendly and attentive whilst I perform at West Abbey. Residents always look really happy, and enjoy joining in with activities. I love singing at west abbey and always feel very welcomed!

I cannot recommend this care home enough. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff who showed genuine care and compassion for the residents. The facilities are brilliant, clean, and beautifully maintained. The residents are all well taken care of and seem genuinely happy and content. The activities and programs offered are diverse and engaging, keeping everyone active and stimulated. The meals are delicious and nutritious, and there are always options available for any dietary needs. Overall, this care home goes above and beyond in every aspect, providing a safe and nurturing environment for its residents. 5 stars all the way!

My experience with west abbey has been great. I’ve been there 8months now doing nails for the residents and they all love it. The care provided for the residents is always above and beyond. The activities team is always on hand to help me, Sarah the head of activities makes sure all the residents have the opportunity to get their nails done and her care for them is amazing. Ryan is a lovely character who makes the residents laugh and feel and feel at home. I enjoy my time working for west abbey and making the residents happy.

Going into the home as a visitor you are struck immediately, by how welcoming and friendly the staff are, the excellent decor and how wonderfully clean the home looks and smells. Residents were encouraged to join in activities by a vibrant, enthusiastic and caring team, nothing was too much trouble for them. I was very, very impressed and when someone asked me yesterday if I knew of a care home suitable for her father who is living with dementia, I didn't hesitate in recommending West Abbey.
