What Can I Say? Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful!!! I honestly was never sure of the “Care Home” thing when it came to looking after my Father (Harry) & his recent ill health, Laurel Bank opened their doors to my Father, Myself and my Mother and we became part of their little family. They looked after my father with the gentle care and love that I believed only a family could give. They also looked after me and my mother when visiting keeping us in the loop with everything. Helping us with any problems as well! Sadly my father passed after some time there but from day one till the day he went to his resting place he was treated with the upmost respect and “as an individual” “as a person” and a “human being” I can’t I cannot…Recommend them enough if you need care this is the place to be! I just listened to BBC Lancashire and heard about the celebrations for a 103 year old lady, and honestly, I hope whenever this day is thought about or spoken about, it's with nothing but pride. Laurel Bank & everyone that helped need to be just so proud of the work they put in and how they make a place for residents to continue living their lives. I always say Laurel Bank is made of magic but I think this is a reminder to all, that magic is made at Laurel Bank. A place where despite the age, dreams still can come true. People would be lucky to have family or friends stay here. It really is so wonderful with great management, great staff & lovely residents!

My aunt Joan has been living at Laurel Bank for nearly 3 years. Although she'd rather be back at home, it would sadly be impossible due to her health conditions. This home is fab 👌 it's the staff that make it so special, they're kind, caring, attentive and understanding. They make her feel loved and important to them. I often have lunch with her and it's never too much trouble and is more often than not delicious, I've never had a bad home-made soup there, so flavoursome and tasty. The social activities are varied and we experience many special days celebrating occasions, it'll be Halloween and Bonfire night soon, with fireworks and food to go with it, treacle coffee and hot chocolate. All in all, I would rate it highly, thank you to one and all xx

My 90-year-old mother has been living in Laurel Bank for the past 18 months. The home is lovely with beautiful gardens, homely décor and comfortable furnishings, all maintained to a high standard. Mum’s room has an en-suite bathroom, and she brought her own bed, pictures and other items to personalise it. However it is the warmth and friendliness of the staff that makes Laurel Bank stand out above the other care homes we visited before choosing Laurel Bank. Led by a fabulous manager, Lyndsay, who is always approachable with a great sense of humour and wonderful intuitive kindness, the entire Laurel Bank team balances the professionalism needed in a care environment with deep levels of humanity and thoughtfulness. The activities programme is excellent and highly creative with a weekly calendar of events, mornings and afternoons, every day of the week. The daily menus in the dining room feature home-cooked dishes with menu choices for every meal. Housekeeping and laundry are very well done. The nursing team are all wonderful and they regularly keep me updated on Mum’s health. It was a daunting situation for Mum to move into a care home, but the Laurel Bank team have been truly phenomenal. Not many people would choose to live in a care home, but if circumstances necessitate it, we all hope that our loved ones will be in a place where professional care is delivered with warmth, kindness and friendliness. Laurel Bank does it all so beautifully and I am truly thankful that Mum is in such good hands.

I am a musician and I’ve played in care homes many times over the years. This is like a backstage pass, so I get to see what the place and staff are really like. I’m pleased to report that both, in the case of Laurel Bank, are exemplary 😊. The number one factor for me is staff kindness and patience. It’s a rewarding but difficult job! Staff to resident ratios are great (not always the case in other establishments), and each individual’s needs and desires are catered for as much as possible. Also food and kitchen staff - you can tell they really care and you can see and taste that the meals are prepared with love and pride. I always look forward to playing there.
