Barchester Healthcare North Park Care Home

My nana had been a resident at the home for several years and recently passed away. The care she received at the end of her life was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond for our family, ensuring that we had a room to use to freshen up and get some rest and provided us with a basket of everything that we needed, from toiletries to food and a bottle of wine. The support we received before nana’s passing and after was beyond anything we could have imagined, every single staff member in the home took time to make sure we were ok and treated us like their own family. The staff at Northpark are absolute angels and our family will be forever grateful for all the love and amazing care they show to each and every resident they care for. No words can express how thankful we are to this amazing team. Barchester, you should be so proud of this home, they are all absolutely amazing!!!!!! Keep up the good work.

Caring staff who are always happy to help. The care centre is welcoming, clean and has a lovely warm atmosphere. Happy that my Mum is in such a caring home.

as a visiting entertainer I see many care homes in the northeast of England, and I am more than happy to review them in an honest way too. North Park is always a care home I look forward to visiting, the staff are so cheerful and create a party atmosphere even before I start my show. The residents always look so settled and full of smiles which, for me, says so much about the home they live in. I visited several homes, prior to visiting NorthPark and none compare to this home. From walking in the door, the home had a welcome feel and I was made to feel like one of the family. The manager was available for me to speak to regarding reservations I had about putting my gran into a care home and this made a real difference. The day arrived for gran to move in and everyone made her feel very welcome. Gran is especially fond of the chef, who always produces amazing cakes and biscuits which she absolutely loves, and after years she is now putting weight on and looking so much better.

Absolutely amazing service and staff at Barchester Care Home. My colleague and I from the ambulance service attended to a patient here and the staff, especially Juliet, were the best care staff we have ever experienced. They knew everything about their residents, showed evidence that they really take the best care of their service users and do so with a smile! We were also treat like royalty throughout our visit with snacks and refreshments after our treatment had finished and were completing paperwork which was such a nice personal touch. Absolutely outstanding care home! Thank you so much to Juliet and the team.
