What people say about Caer Gwent

I needed to arrange care for my mother after my father passed away. We really didn't want her to ever be on her own, or to feel frightened or lonely at any time, and wanted someone to be available to care for her whenever she needed. Mum having access to 24/7 care was crucial for her wellbeing and ongoing support, as well as for our own peace of mind. We felt that a care home could provide that level of care and support. I visited Caer Gwent before we made a final decision, met many of the staff, and was very impressed. Everyone was friendly, polite, and it felt right straightaway. The lounges are beautifully presented, decorated, and light, bright, and welcoming. It all helped with that very difficult decision about Mum moving into care. Whilst the transition into care can be challenging, both for a new resident and their family, my mother as been welcomed and cared for brilliantly. I can't thank you enough for the kindness and support you have shown to my mother and our family.

I've had the privilege of visiting Caer Gwent numerous times over the past few years, and I always feel warmly welcomed. The staff greet me with genuine warmth and friendliness, creating an incredibly homely atmosphere. During my visits, I engage with the residents, and it's evident that they hold the staff in high regard and feel exceptionally well looked after. Their heartfelt praise for the staff speaks volumes about the quality of care provided.

This is by far the best care home I've been to in my life. The care staff are just FANTASTIC! They really connect with the 'inmates' and make a difference to their daily lives. They laugh at mum's jokes - 'Oh, my drug pusher is here again!', when she gets her meds... and, 'My friends are so jealous!' when a young man comes to rub pain relief cream on her legs! Seriously.. they are the best!
