Apologies that this has taken me so long to leave. I cannot put into words how much gratitude I have for the ladies who cared for my Gran ( Liz) on the top floor during her final months . I moved her from another home looking for dignity , care and a place of safety where I would be able to leave at night knowing she would be cared for as though she was family. I found this in the oakes . Amazing care , love and compassion was shown to us during a very difficult few months and not once did they ever faulter. For that I will be forever grateful. My heart will always be so thankful for each and everyone of the people who helped make those months more comfortable for gran, for the chats, hugs, compassion and love that was shown. Thank you

This is where my 91 year old Mum lives. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff for their care and attention to Mum. They have taken time to get to know her. It is incredibly clean and it feels like home. Mum loves the food and is always commenting on its good standard. Today was the open day. It was full of smiles, music, food, activities for young and old. Thank you to the team for all their hard work. June Richardson.

I cannot speak highly enough of the Oakes. My very dear friend spent the last 18 months of her life there and was admitted during the second lockdown. Every single member of staff, including housekeeping, carers and admin, took the best possible care of her both physically and emotionally. They went over and above the call of duty and made her feel safe, secure and loved, especially at a time when we were unable to visit. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they gave me and the family time when we called to discuss concerns. It was a huge comfort to know that she was taken care of so well, and that when she passed away peacefully she was surrounded by love. A huge thank you to every single one of the staff. Yes the car park is small but there is on street parking and I would rather walk a few extra metres knowing that my loved one is receiving the best possible care.
