I worked at Tonbridge House from September 2018 to May 2019. Best place I have ever worked at. Beautiful home. Management was great, the atmosphere was lovely and friendly, everyone cared for our residents and I met and worked with some people I now call my best friends. I left as I was moving back to France but would work there again in a heartbeat.

My wife started working there last year after being in a job where she was not appreciated. Since she has been working at Tonbridge house her confidence has had a massive boost, and she comes home happier from her job all due to the support she has had from Karen the manager and deputy manager Andrea. When she comes home she has nothing but praise for all the staff that she works with on a day to day basis. She knows that if she has a problem she can turn to the management to get the support that she needs. I have met the staff and management and I found them all confident in what they do, polite and very easy to talk to.

Hi I am Tracey and I have been a nurse for over 30 years and worked in a wide variety of environments. I started workingat Tonbridge House last April and I can honestly say that I have never experienced mangers like Karen & Andrea. They have such complete commitment to person centred care, and delivering the highest quality nursing practice is both inspiring and reassuring. I have no hesitation at all going to them with any issue or concern, and they are always available to provide advice, support, guidance and encouragement at any time, (I do nights too, so I mean anytime!). I feel truly appreciated and valued as a member of this amazing team, and the impact this has had on my confidence and self esteem is immeasurable. I have never before felt this level of job satisfaction in my long career. Karen & Andrea provide open and honest support, feedback and encouragement and if there is room for improvement it is delivered in a positive constructive way as a learning experience that is shared and supported within the team. However they will not ignore bad practice, let things slide, have a negative impact on the team or not be in the residents best interests. They will challenge this and provide solutions through discussions with the team by seeking feedback and listening to our opinions and suggestions.They both have a genuine open door policy and they are both highly visible and available for all staff, residents, relatives and anyone else who comes through the door. As for the previous negative reviews I would just like to say if you want to find a good nursing home it’s important to do your research in choosing the right place, so please don’t rely on just these reviews. Please come visit us, talk to the staff, our residents, their loved ones and see what they have to say, listen to your instincts before making up your mind. I am part of TEAM TONBRIDGE and very proud of that!

I started to work for Tonbridge House in October 2018 , All that I can say is that I have not been happier , all the staff I work with support each other and they all work very well together. Since I have been there, there has not been a big turnover of staff like some of the reviews indicate. I have worked in some places where you do not get any support from management, I can say with a hand on my heart that this is not the case at Tonbridge House, Karen the manager and Andrea the deputy manager have been very supportive to me and all the staff, they have built my confidence back up. I known that if I have a problem, in work or out of work, I know that I can always go and speak to them. All I can say is that I love working at Tonbridge House and that I told the management when I started that this will be my last job, I do not intend to go anywhere else and I stand by that.

Would not promote Tonbridge house care home in Tonbridge at all. Over zealous fees. If you want a hotel with bad vibes this the place. Fake friendliness to your face. Our relation did not receive good care. So much one could say but all negative. Deputy Manager comes across passive aggressive manager just giggles at everything and no sense with either of them and fees unprofessional layout. Our advice big massive fees for hotel like rooms with no atmosphere, meals tasteless. They have A La Carte menu that is horrible food, our relative lost weight! Staff with bad attitudes. A place with uncaring fake feel that seems to have so many construction issues is it actually safe?
